Creating a Pleasant Workplace Environment

Innovative Workstyles
Innovative Workstyles

We have introduced new and innovative workstyles that allow office staff to work from home up to three days a week and sales staff to go to and return home directly from the field through the use of flextime and other systems. This has reduced travel times and allowed for more flexible work schedules. Productivity has also increased as meetings are generally held online and business travel has been curtailed.
In recognition of these new working styles and diverse initiatives related to these systems, we received special honorable mention at the “Shining Telework Awards,” an award system established by the Minister for Health, Labor and Welfare, as a company or organization that serves as a model for other companies and organizations to follow.

Commendation System for Long or Meritorious Service

At DyDo DRINCO, we have introduced a system to reward 25 years of continuous service with a long-term vacation and monetary gift. The aim is to improve employee job satisfaction by allowing recipients to be refreshed both mentally and physically.

Mental Health Measures

At DyDo DRINCO, we conduct stress checks for all employees as an opportunity for them to review their working habits and lifestyles, and to promote sound mental health. We are also building a support system to maintain and enhance the mental and physical health of employees, by providing an outside health consultation liaison, consultations with physicians, and other services.

At DyDo DRINCO, we have apportioned open meeting spaces at our head office. These are used for training, conferences, meetings, and other purposes. They are also used as places for employees from various departments to share and gather knowledge during breaks.

Productivity Improvements by Taking a “Caffeine Nap”
Productivity Improvements by Taking a “Caffeine Nap”

DyDo DRINCO recommend that employees take a “caffeine nap” by drinking coffee during their lunch break and then napping for 15 minutes as one way to boost productivity.
The stimulating effects of the caffeine found in coffee are widely considered to appear 20 to 30 minutes after the beverage is consumed and then last for six or more hours. In addition, naps lasting 15 to 20 minutes are believed to be an effective way to gain refreshment. Employees who have tried caffeine naps have indicated that they are able to start the afternoon feeling refreshed and that they feel their productivity has increased as a result.
